Ripples of Kindness

We’ve all heard it before. A smile takes far fewer muscles than a frown. What a nicer world it would be if we all practiced the simple act of smiling more often. As we pass people on the sidewalk, in the store, or in the hallway at work, we have no idea what the other is dealing with that week, that day, or that very moment. It also shouldn’t matter. If you smile at someone and even share a kind greeting, he or she will smile at another, and that person will pass it on to another. In other words, perhaps your taking just a second to smile at the person you pass by will have a ripple effect.

The Ripples of Kindness Foundation believes that God’s mission for us is to simply create and sustain a ripple effect of kindness toward others. We especially focus on those that are struggling through difficult times and therefore appreciate even the simplest gestures of compassion and care. If you want to be part of this exciting movement, read more about how to get involved in the ripple effect.

The “Ripple Effect Project” is based on the simple notion that it only takes one drop of kindness to create a ripple effect. Through community service projects and a grants process, we provide support to families struggling to meet every day expenses and needs because they are dealing with disabilities, disease, or special needs. If you are one of these families, whether you need someone to run errands, help with something around the house, or are short on paying bills this month, we hope you will add your need to our needs board or apply for your grant today. Additionally, if you would like someone to pray for you while you struggle through a difficult time, please add your prayer request to our prayer chain.
